Havana is a city of many things..

Looking up the Macon you can see the last building finished before the Castro government stopped all of it.

The last morning I was there, I caught the first major cruise chip entering Havana harbor. I can't imagine how these will affect Havana, it's infrastructure and people. There were 14 people in my little group and it took several hours to get a meal because most restaurants only have a 4 burner stove in the back. The rest of the infrastructure is as bad. Luckily the hundreds of passengers won't be staying in Havana overnight. The water and sewage systems will encounter real problems.
